The hosts eventually secured a 3-2 win over Villa after a flurry of three goals in five minutes.
The result confirmed Brentford B as winners of their Premier League Cup group, with the side now set to play the knockout stages.
Romeo will continue to play in the Premier League Cup until the end of the season and play matches abroad as part of the B-Team line-up.

Senior team manager Thomas Frank has also praised the midfielder, insisting he was signed “for a reason” and not at the expense of his famous father.
Frank demanded that Beckham should be seen as his own player and allowed to develop his game.
“Romeo is a very good player, of course he has a name that is quite well known and big around the world,” said Frank.
“To Romeo he is himself, but of course he has a big name. You cannot compare (father and son).’
Brentford manager Thomas Frank has called for Beckham to be judged as his own player
Frank then drew the comparison between Danish international Michael Laudrup and his son Andreas, whom he coached.
“Maybe Laudrup is a decent player too (much like David Beckham), I coached his son and it’s important to take him as a player – not as Laudrup but as himself.
“He’s here for a reason, because we think he’s a good player and we’re delighted he was able to secure the loan deal.
“(We’re) pleased he’s doing well, pleased with the performance he had in the last game and when you have players, either permanent or on loan, there’s a reason for that.
“It’s either about getting the team to perform, or about extending the loan deal and making it a permanent deal. So we just hope he keeps moving forward and makes it very interesting for us.”
