In the next chapters of Mar do Sertão, Deodora (Débora Bloch) breaks up with Pajéu (Caio Blat) after the former jagunço refuses to kill José (Sergio Guizé). Obsessed with Dondoca, the assassin digs his own grave, leaving Candoca (Isadora Cruz) a suicide note and begging his lover to take his life.
Tertúlio’s wife (José de Abreu) seduces Cirino’s father (Théo Matos) until she has the poor guy’s total devotion. From then on, the former employee of Vespertino (Thardely Lima) began to obey all the orders of the rich.
However, when Deodora demands that her lover Zé Paulino finish off, things change. Despite being on all fours for Tetulinho’s mother (Renato Góes), the former jagunço knows it’s not right to kill the man who saved his son’s life.

In the next chapters of Mar do Sertão, Pajeú refuses to kill José and is dumped by Deodora. Seized by this sick love for the dondoca, the exjagunço from Vespertino digs his own grave and asks his lover to shoot him in the chest.
As soon as she noticed Cirino’s father’s interest, the colonel’s wife began to seduce her and won a doormat. After convincing him to commit minor crimes, such as destroying the Gazeta de canta Pedra newsroom, the redhead goes even further and tells her lover to kill José.

Tertulinho’s mother takes this stance after Tertúlio confesses to being the excowboy’s father. To convince Pajeú, the villain goes so far as to say that Candoca’s fiancé shot his brother to kill him and the opposite happened.
Despite being madly in love with the redhead, the exjagunço says he cannot take the life of the man who saved his son. Machiavellian, Deodora Pajéu will give Pajéu the cold shoulder, hoping he will change his mind.
Obsessed with the colonel’s wife, Pajéu believes that the only chance to overcome this unhealthy love is death. So he digs his own grave in his backyard and surprises Deodora by asking him to shoot him in the chest.

Luckily, the exJagunço wrote a farewell letter and sent it to Candoca. On paper, he says he can neither kill the man who saved Cirino nor live with the contempt of the woman he loves.
So, even before Deodora decides whether or not to shoot her lover, the doctor and Tertúlio show up at the hired killer’s hut and avoid tragedy. To justify her presence there to her husband, the redhead even had the gall to say that she was kidnapped and threatened by Pajeú.
José’s father agrees to take the woman to the farm, but is suspicious of the story she is telling. Candoca convinces his girlfriend to go to church with her to talk to Father Zezo (Nanego Lira).
