The brand, Made in Petare, refers to the fact that 9 out of 10 residents claim to have no money to buy the necessary basic foodstuffs and dietary supplements.

The work that Dudamel has been doing with this brand for years has a lot to do with the second answer she gave during the Miss Universe closing ceremony: “As a professional, I’m a fashion designer, but As a woman, I am a designer of dreams.“.
The main goal of Made in Petare is “to activate a real chain of transformation in vulnerable communities and to contribute to the development of their populations.” They produce local produce and with local workers, what they get from their sale is in turn reinvested in improving various aspects of local people’s lives.
The money received will be used for: 10 soup kitchens that welcome more than 1,300 children every day, conduct educational events and offer monthly medical sessions.
