Terrible discovery in a house in Charleroi. According to a report, judicial authorities found a nine-year-old boy detained in deplorable conditions.
The Belgian media Sudinfo reveals that it had been lying in a locked storage room for months. According to the Charleroi public prosecutor's office, he had a “very small room with an area of two square meters.”
His mother and stepfather were charged
The room was dark and the child “was only allowed to go out to eat toast.”
“He showed no signs of malnutrition or physical injuries related to beating,” the lawsuit continues. “More comprehensive examinations will take place to further assess his health.”
Charges were filed against the boy's mother and stepfather. They are under arrest warrant and will soon have to answer before the Charleroi council chamber for “kidnapping, deprivation of food, assault and battery and inhuman and degrading treatment.”
