THE ESSENTIAL
- The teenager suffered for 9 hours before arriving at the hospital.
- During the operation, doctors crossed the bladder by making an incision.
- They managed to remove the thermometer, being careful to find the right angle to avoid complications.
The lonely pleasure party went wrong for this Chinese boy… The cause? Inserting a thermometer in the urethra, showing x-rays of 12-year-old preteen. So deep that it reached bubble level. The case of this atypical young patient is brought to us in an article in the Asian Journal of Surgery published December 20 and shared by The Chron.
A dangerous operation to remove the thermometer
To remove the object, doctors had to perform a careful operation so as not to further damage the tissues of the intimate area. Luckily for the boy, the operation was a success.
The youth from the central Chinese city of Chengdu admitted that he seeks sexual pleasure in this way as he is a believer in “soduretre”. This sexual practice, which might produce more than a shudder, boils down to inserting a thin object or a finger or anything else, like here a thermometer, into the urethral meatus (the outer opening of the urethra through which urine is expelled when urinating) in order to experience excitement or pleasure.
Masturbation: The Dangers of the Practice of Soduretre
However, regular guests know that if you don’t want to risk complications, you need to respect glass or metal objects specially dedicated to this practice, as well as hygiene rules. In this case, the inserted object rose into the bladder, making it inextricable. The most serious complication is then the perforation of the latter. In addition, the inserted object can also damage tissue and cause scarring in the urethra, which can lead to infection or serious injury.
This is not the only incident of this type that has been reported. It is a regular occurrence for people who practice the soduretre in an unsafe manner to end up in the emergency room. Often those affected do not dare to see a doctor out of shame or ignorance of the associated risks. However, it is better to remove the jammed object as soon as possible in order to avoid complications and make it easier for the urethra to recover from the damage suffered.
