A second home in Lac-Simon in the Outaouais that was listed for sale more than 18 months ago finally found a buyer for $2 million.
Located at 599 Caron Road, this 339 square meter property was built in 2021. It includes six bedrooms, six bathrooms, a fireplace, air conditioning and underfloor heating throughout two floors. Ground floor room.

The seller, Fiducie EZ Solution, purchased this property in December 2002 from Geneviève Morin and Pierre Fortin for the amount of $86,074.43. It was put back on the market in June 2022 by its three trustees – namely Pierre Fortin, Chantal Fortin and Geoffrey (Joeffrey) Larouche – for the sum of $2.25 million.
About 18 months later, on December 13, it finally sold for $2 million, with no provincial sales tax (QST) or federal sales tax (GST). That's 11% less than the original target of $2.25 million.

At the most recent three-year valuation, this property was assigned a value of $741,600, which is 5% more than the previous valuation of $703,700.
In 2023, municipal taxes were $5,246. A transfer tax of $28,343 will be added to the purchase price for buyers.
