A Syracuse, New York, teacher was brutally beaten by her mother in front of her class, breaking her jaw.
According to local media reports Tuesday, 31-year-old Lynzina Sutton walked into Lincoln Middle School last Friday morning looking for…a teacher. When she found her, she went into her class and punched her in the face.
The professor suffered serious injuries, including a broken nose, a broken jaw and a concussion.
“These are injuries that you don't even see in a boxing match, so they're pretty serious,” emphasized District Attorney William Fitzpatrick, quoted by the news site Syracuse.com.

School principal Anthony Davis said in a press conference with local media that the mother acted out of revenge. The day before, the girl had been in trouble with school security after lying about her movements and allegedly threatened to have her mother “take care of it.”
Lynzina Sutton actually showed up at school the next day accompanied by the teenager's grandmother. While the eldest of the duo was intercepted by security, the mother managed to break into the facility. Security allegedly mistook her for a student because she is only 5 feet 4 inches tall and was wearing a hoodie, Mr. Davis said.
The principal tried to intervene and calm the situation, according to the principal's account of events, which was summarized by Syracuse.com, but she was able to leave the school after hitting the teacher.
The woman was arrested and charged a few hours after the attack and now has to stand trial.
