Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers conceded this season is not going as planned after today’s loss to the Lions but denied he has any regrets about returning to the Packers this season after he considered going in the offseason stop.
“Some crappy throws for sure,” Rodgers said of his three-interception game.
But when a reporter said Rodgers looked miserable and might wish he’d retired, Rodgers questioned that.
“I think that’s an exaggeration,” Rodgers said. “Frustration and misery are two different emotions. When I decided to come back I was all in and I don’t make any after-the-fact decisions.”
Rodgers was the Packers’ leading rusher today with four carries for 40 yards, while the Lions defense held AJ Dillon on 11 carries for 34 yards and Aaron Jones on nine carries for 25 yards. Rodgers said that’s a problem, but he needs to try and make plays every which way he can.
“Obviously, I don’t want to get rushed,” Rodgers said. “But I knew I had to play with my legs and if I continue, I have to keep doing things like that.”
