American actor Charlie Sheen was attacked in his villa in Malibu, California, police reported this Friday (22). A suspect was arrested and charged with assault and robbery.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said in a statement that it received a report of “assault/disturbance” at the home of the star of the comedy “Two and a Half Men.”
“Upon contacting those involved, officers identified Charlie Sheen as the victim of an assault,” police said.
The suspect, identified as Electra Schrock, was arrested on charges of assault with a deadly weapon, use of force creating risk of serious injury and residential burglary.
Entertainment website TMZ reported that 47yearold Electra was Sheen's neighbor and that she “burst into the house and attacked him when he opened the door.”
“We're told she ripped Charlie's shirt off and tried to strangle him,” TMZ reported, adding that Sheen was examined by paramedics but not taken to the hospital.
TMZ reported that this was not the first altercation between the neighbors and that a previous incident involved a sticky liquid being spilled on Sheen's vehicle.
