Addressed to Wrong Address: Woman Shot in US

In the United States, a woman looking for her boyfriend’s house was shot dead after driving to the wrong address by mistake. The 20-year-old was traveling with three others in Hebron, New York, when the group realized she had taken a wrong turn. Then they stopped at a garage to make a U-turn.

According to the Washington County sheriff, the property owner fired two shots at the car from the porch of his home, one of them hitting the woman. Alarmed rescuers tried to revive the young woman, but she couldn’t resist her injuries.

When officers arrived at the scene, the alleged shooter refused to leave the house for about an hour and remained hidden there. He was arrested about an hour after police arrived, the sheriff said. The man had no reason to feel threatened – he faces murder charges.
