As the first Pro Bowl games approach, the All-Star lineups are in place.
Head coaches Peyton and Eli Manning announced on Wednesday at the Pro Bowl Games Selection Show who will compete in specific skills competitions for their respective AFC and NFC rosters.
Pro Bowl game action begins Thursday at 7:00 p.m. ET on ESPN with five skills challenges, and games conclude Sunday at 3:00 p.m. ET with more skills events and a trio of flag football games in the first rendition of a new look, the NFL’s annual All-Star Showdown at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on ABC/ESPN.
The NFC roster is led by top voter Justin Jefferson, one of seven Minnesota Vikings pro bowlers competing in the Best Catch Contest. Jefferson’s contemporary, the Buffalo Bills’ Stefon Diggs, will also be in contention for the best catch title.
“Best Catch” is one of eight skill challenges scheduled for the first few Pro Bowl games, culminating with Sunday’s flag football games featuring every Pro Bowler by skill position. Every single challenge and game earns points for the winning conference to set a score that goes into Sunday’s third and final Pro Bowl flag game to determine the conference winner.
The cumulative point breakdown shows that the winning conference of each skill competition scores three points, with 24 total points available for the eight skill competitions.
