He is currently filming the second season of Aller simple, due to air on Noovo over the course of next year, and will continue in July with STAT, which will air on Radio-Canada in the fall. As a musician and singer, too, he is increasingly showing off his talents. And his happiness has never been so perfect as now, after 28 years of living apart from his mother Marie-Josée, the 31-year-old actor has finally found her! “I was born in Haiti. My father came to settle in Quebec and then he was able to get me in his turn. I came to Canada when I was three years old. Since then he has returned to his home country several times to see his mother. “But I never lived with her.” The situation did not allow Anglesh’s mother to come and live with her son. “The only person who could bring her in was me, but when you’re young and you have a student loan, it’s super hard.”
After several requests, the last one worked out: Marie-Josée was admitted to Canada. “She’s been here for a month. I’m very happy that life brought us together!” The young man got him an apartment. And he doesn’t feel like he’s catching up with her. “I have nothing in mind. I think, “Whatever is going to happen is going to happen.” I’ll take what I have to take anytime. And maybe there are things I don’t want to accept because I’ve spent my whole life without my mother. But there are so many things I want to know, like a mother’s love, her touching side… At that moment, she always says to me, “Come eat home!” That’s what I want.” Anglesh felt an overwhelming need to ask his mother one big question: How can a mother let her son go at such a young age? He’s moved when he talks about it. “Got it. She did it out of pure and simple love. She told herself that there was something better out there for me without knowing exactly what would become of me. She just believed it would be better for me.” He thanks her. He is happy. And his mother is proud of him!
