After the defeat at Lyman: Kadyrov asks for the use of atomic bombs

Ukraine’s success provoked strong reactions in Russia on Saturday. And much less secretive than with Putin himself.

Tactical nukes at the front?

Ramzan Kadyrov, ruler of the Russian republic of Chechnya, openly called for the use of tactical nuclear bombs. “In my personal opinion, more drastic measures must be taken, including the imposition of martial law in border regions and the use of low-yield nuclear weapons,” he wrote on Telegram.

Lyman’s loss is really serious. The small town in the western part of the Donetsk Oblast served as a railroad junction for the supply of Russian troops throughout the region. That means Russia has to give up the area which was only annexed in a ceremony in Moscow on Friday.
