AJ Odudu made sure all eyes were on her as she stormed the red carpet at Vogue World at London’s Theater Royal Drury Lane on Thursday.

The new Big Brother host, 35, wasn’t afraid to pull out all the stops at one of fashion’s biggest nights, which will open London Fashion Week.

She looked very leggy in a bright metallic purple mini dress with a draped train and a large, ruffled neckline.

AJ let her eye-catching ensemble do the talking by wearing a pair of silver strappy heels and simply accessorized with a silver necklace and hoop earrings.

The event – dubbed Britain’s answer to the legendary Met Gala – has a legion of all-star attendees including Cara Delevingne, Rita Ora and Winnie Harlow.

But the star of the show is Vogue’s all-powerful editor-in-chief, Dame Anna Wintour, who, after living in the US for 35 years, has now set her sights back on her beloved hometown.

Dame Anna arrived at Vogue World alongside British Vogue editor-in-chief Edward Enninful as they appeared united following reports of a power struggle.

The Mail on Sunday reported that Enninful had hoped to replace Wintour one day, but the Vogue editor-in-chief is determined to stick around and “fend off any rival like a fly.”

The party comes just three months after the shocking announcement that the former British-Ghanaian model and fashion designer would be stepping down as editor-in-chief of British Vogue after six years at the helm.

When he departs in early 2024, Enninful will take on a “global advisory role” at Vogue, “with the freedom to take on broader creative projects.”

Aside from her plans for Vogue World 23, which aim to raise funds for Britain’s cash-strapped art scene, The Mail on Sunday reported that she is house hunting in the capital, looking for a place fit for a fashion queen – with or close to a tennis court and not far from her boyfriend and constant companion of late, Bill Nighy, also 73.

Thursday’s event will serve as a fundraiser for the UK performing arts industry, with Vogue editor-in-chief Anna overseeing its delivery.

The first Vogue World event included a fashion show and street party when it took place in New York’s Meatpacking district in 2021, but the London ceremony is expected to be a larger affair.

The dress code applies to opening night. The invitation revealed a West End stage adorned with blood-red velvet curtains.

Led by BAFTA and Olivier winner Stephen Daldry, show director Emily Burns and creative producer Fran Miller, as well as the Vogue team, the evening will feature a wide range of performing arts.

The event, which takes place at the start of London Fashion Week, will allow guests to see opera, ballet and theater performances as well as introduce and showcase talent.

Contributing designers for the guests and artists include 16Arlington, Ahluwalia, Burberry, Charles Jeffrey LOVERBOY, Erdem, Maison Margiela and SS Daley as well as many other fashion giants.

Wintour previously claimed the performing arts industry was “at risk”, meaning all proceeds from ticket sales would go to a number of theater companies – including the National Theatre, the Royal Opera House and the Royal Ballet.
