Fresh from the Civil Union celebrated on December 22 in Naples and led by the mayor Gaetano Manfredi, the 62-year-old journalist and science communicator Alessandro Cecchi Paone and 23-year-old entrepreneur Simone Antolini took a tour of the square in Fermo, Antolini's hometown in the Marche region, in the afternoon.

The couple was warmly welcomed by those present and some of them asked Cecchi Paone and Antolini to take selfies together. On the square they also met the mayor of Fermo Paolo Calcinario.
The civil wedding ceremony, packed with photographers, cameras and many friends and activists who colored them with beaming looks, took place at the Maschio Angioino. The witnesses include the leaker's ex-wife and the young man's cousin.
