THE Alma’s bridge is a bridge in Paris and spans the Seine. Its name commemorates the Battle of Alma (1854) in Crimea.
This location is served by the Alma – Marceau metro station.
Zouave and Crues
On the only pole resting in the water (water is a ubiquitous chemical compound on earth, vital for everyone…), upstream, is the statue of a standing Zouave, erected in 1856, which serves as a popular tool for measuring the floods of the Seine . When the level of the Seine reaches the foot of this Zouave, the waterways on the banks are generally closed. When the water rises to the thighs of the Zouaves, the Seine is no longer navigable. During the historic flood of 1910, the water rose to shoulder level.
The Zouave is taller than it originally was, having been stripped of all meaning after its elevation in 1970. By the same scale, reported flooding is more severe. The administration measures the flood level at the Tournelle Bridge.

This tunnel is often called the Pont. The St. de l’Alma tunnel is actually between the bridge and the Place de l’Alma. Above this tunnel stands the Flame of Liberty, a life-size replica of the Statue of Liberty’s flame. This monument was donated by the The International Herald Tribune newspaper commemorates Franco-American friendship in 1987 and thanks France for the restoration of the Statue of Liberty. It was stripped of its original function and spontaneously became a place of reflection for admirers of the late princess. The official memorial commemorating the death of the Princess takes place in a garden in the Marais district (In geography, a swamp is a kind of low-relief landscape formation…).
Story
The bridge was built from 1854 to 1856 under the direction of Gariel. It was founded by Napoleon III on April 2, 1856. inaugurated (originally the inauguration was planned for the exhibition of 1855). The columns are adorned with four statues: a Zouave and a Grenadier by Georges Diebolt, a Jäger on foot and an Artilleryman by Arnaud – representing four regiments that fought valiantly in the Crimean War. Le Chasseur à pied is visible from the motorway (A motorway is a road reserved for the traffic of fast motorized vehicles…) A4 on the wall (A wall is a fixed structure that separates or delimits two spaces.) South (The South is a cardinal point in relation to the North.) of the Gravelle redoubt in the Bois de Vincennes, the grenadier is in Dijon, the birthplace of its sculptor, and the artilleryman was offered and transferred there the fere (Aisne department), city (The city (Latin civitas) is a word denoted in ancient times before …) dear to the artillerymen and where until 1993 the 41st regiment of naval artillery was based.
For the 1900 World’s Fair, the bridge was doubled upstream by a footbridge, known as the Alma Footbridge.
From 1970 to 1974 the bridge was completely replaced due to its narrowness and settlement. Only the Zouave survives (but not on the same page).

This bridge connects the 7th arrondissement on the left bank (RG) with the 8th and 16th arrondissement on the right bank (RD). It is located between the quay (Le Quai is a cultural space of the town of Angers, in the department of Maine-et-Loire in…) Branly (RG) and the avenue (An avenue is an important urban street.
