Amanda Bynes may have wandered the streets for days before she was discovered naked and taken into psychiatric confinement, a new report says.

The troubled actress, 36, was hospitalized after going for a shirtless walk near downtown Los Angeles early Sunday morning – she was later transferred to a 5150 psychiatric detention center.

According to TMZ, friends close to the star believe she may have been on the road for several days before flagging down a car for help and asking to call 911.

The publication has claimed that Bynes’ car was towed March 15 in Long Beach, 40 miles from her home and 25 miles from where she was found.

Insiders have suggested Amanda hitchhiked or used public transit to get around. TMZ reported that Amanda was given a ride to Beverly Hills by a stranger, but then asked to return to Hollywood.

They claimed Amanda has made improvements since arriving at a psychiatric facility on Sunday, but her involuntary detention – which normally lasts 72 hours – is expected to be extended.

It comes after revealed Amanda was spotted out in Hollywood on St Patrick’s Day on Friday – less than two days before she was placed in psychiatric custody.

The video shows the She’s The Man star in a black t-shirt with a bone design paired with sweatpants and sneakers as she walks the Hollywood Walk of Fame with a friend on March 17.

The actress seems coherent as she chats with her friend on the night away, recorded less than two days before she strayed naked and alone amid a “psychotic episode” and hours before she canceled a scheduled public appearance on Saturday.

The star was also captured on a fan’s TikTok, which captioned it: “Happy she’s getting the help she needs. She was sweet, gave her some money and talked. at some point people just need someone to talk to. ‘

In the clip, the fan says, “I saw her run and I had to say what’s up?” as Amanda says, “What’s up.”

Bynes’ former fiancé Paul Michael claims she “went off her medication” before being placed on a psychiatric hold.

Paul, who has been in an on-off relationship with Amanda since they called off their engagement last July before getting back together a month later, told Page Six, “She went off her meds and she’s still not on it … She’s wild.’

Paul added that he and Amanda are “friends now” after it was reported they had been living together in LA.

Amanda previously accused Paul on her Instagram of “not taking his meds,” relapsing with “crack cocaine,” and watching “mom-and-son porn” before “kicking him out” of her house .

He added, “[Amanda]tried to kick me out, but I left to get my own place. I moved home and set boundaries.’

Paul also insisted Amanda fabricated her previous drug use and pornography allegations against him, claiming she “embarrassed” him to “take attention away from her.”

He said, “She acted to shame me,” adding that Amanda “lied and cheated and had too many affairs all the time” when they were together.

Bynes and Michael famously got engaged on Valentine’s Day 2020, just months after living in the same sober living facility.

On Sunday, Bynes reportedly waved down a car and told a driver that she was “coming down from a psychotic episode” before calling 911.

Bynes was taken to a police station, where a mental health team placed her in a 5150 psychiatric facility.

A 5150 is a claim under the CA Welfare and Institutions Code. It allows a qualified officer or clinician to incarcerate someone against their will for 72 hours, which can be extended. During this time, the person will be fully screened for their mental health status.

Bynes is currently in the hospital and will likely be cared for for several days. She is said not to have been injured in the incident.

This comes after the actress pulled out of reuniting with the rest of the All That cast at Saturday’s ’90s Con, citing an “unknown illness,” according to That’s 4 Entertainment.

At the last minute, the actress, who previously expressed her desire to reunite with her former Nickelodeon cast members at the event, had to cancel.

Her participation in the much-anticipated reunion alongside Kenan Thompson, Kel Mitchell, Danny Tamberelli and Lori Beth Denberg would have been her first public appearance since the end of her eight-year Conservatory in March 2022.

She has yet to publicly address the health concerns that prevented her from leaving, but just two months ago she told People that 23 years after the original show ended, she was “really excited to be reconnecting with her” castmates meet and meet the fans”. .

The actor starred on the sketch comedy show alongside Mitchell, 44, Tamberelli, 40, and Denberg, 46, from 1996 to 2000.

Created by Brian Robbins and Mike Tollin, All That originally aired on Nickelodeon from April 16, 1994 to October 22, 2005 and lasted ten seasons.

Billed as “SNL for kids,” the series boasted short comedy sketches and musical guests.

In 2019, a revival of the series was confirmed with original actor Kenan Thompson as executive producer and Mitchell rejoining the cast, with season 11 airing in June of that year.

The final episode of the series aired on December 17, 2020 after production halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

It ushered Bynes into her rom-com era of the noughties before the embattled star retired from acting.

Sources close to the star have told TMZ that she and Michael are only dating after they called off their engagement over the summer.

Rumors of their last reunion first surfaced in October 2022, when the Nickelodeon star shared a mysterious picture of herself holding hands with Paul Michael – who could be recognized by his prominent tattoos – on her Instagram Story.

The cozy photo came almost two months after it was first announced that the couple had ended their two-year engagement.

The subtle hint in Amanda’s photo showed Paul’s tattooed grip holding her heavily manicured hand.

Neither appeared to be wearing rings after it was announced on July 8 that they had ended their engagement “sometime in 2021.”

“They’re still together as a couple,” an insider told ET at the time of their alleged split. “They are still in a committed relationship and take their relationship seriously.”

On April 28, the Easy A alum called the healthcare worker on 911 during a dispute over his relapse. She accused him of destroying his mother’s house, watching MILF porn and going off medication.

Aside from Amanda’s busy love life, the star has also reportedly developed a “fragrance line” while pursuing another degree from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising after earning her associate’s degree there in 2019.

In March 2022, Bynes was released from her nine-year legal guardianship, which was controlled by her mother, Lynn.

Amanda’s conservatory began in 2013, when she was involuntarily committed to a Pasadena psychiatric facility following a public meltdown that sparked a series of bizarre run-ins with the 2012 law.

Bynes’ felonies included two hit-and-runs and one DUI in 2012, and one arrest in 2013 for throwing a bong out of a 36th-floor window of her Manhattan apartment.

Bynes’ parents Lynn and Rick are reportedly not planning to put her back in a conservatory despite her alleged mental health issues.

However, her family reportedly took note that she was unwell and sought treatment themselves, reports TMZ.
