America’s Best ‘Foodie’ Cities REVEALED: Knives Eliminates as NYC Fails to Make Top 10 for Quality, Affordability and Variety – and No. 1 on the Menu Gives You Food for Thought

Eat your heart, New Yorkers. WalletHub recently released a list of the 182 best “foodie” cities in the U.S., and the Big Apple failed to make the top 10.

The list was released by the outlet on Monday and ranks cities based on affordability, diversity, accessibility and other key factors that make a city perfect for foodies.

Notably, Florida and California each have three of their cities in the top 10, while the Golden State took a total of 15 of the top 100 spots on the list.

The nation’s capital ranked 17th, while Los Angeles ranked 13th and New York ranked just 20th out of 182.

Which city came in first place? Here’s a hint: Mickey, Minnie and their friends might agree that this Florida town is great for foodies.

However, the list doesn’t just apply to restaurants and food vendors.

“Of course, being a foodie can be quite expensive, especially during times of high inflation,” noted WalletHub.

According to WalletHub data, restaurant prices rose 6.5 percent between August 2022 and August 2023 alone, making it harder for people to leave.

The cost of food also rose by three percent over the same period.
