Lexa continues to play the role of the drum queen of Unidos da Tijuca and will represent the samba school at the 2024 carnival. The 28yearold singer accepted the challenge for the first time in 2020, replacing Elaine Azevedo.

“With Unidos da Tijuca since 2020, Lexa remains as the QUEEN of Pura Cadencia for the 2024 Carnival. Shine even brighter Lexa!” Lexa didn’t comment on the announcement, which was made amid the controversy surrounding her husband MC Guimê, who was confined to the BBB 23 (TV Globo) home.

Before announcing Unidos da Tijuca, the singer warned that she would be taking a break from social media, revealing that she was shaken by the singer’s stance on the global reality. MC Guimê was caught by the show’s cameras caressing and shaking hands with Mexican Dania Mendez in “restricted zones” during the leader’s party dedicated to him early Thursday (16).

On Twitter, fans showed their support for the singer by sending messages in the comments. “Wonderful” and “She deserves it” were some of the most commented messages. “You killed it! She already has the face of the school!” said one follower. “Great timing for the announcement tiju,” another microblog user began.
