To secure tickets, Khiara had to convince her shocked mother Jodie to give her blessing to miss the funeral, which is expected to take place in Adelaide at 1:00 p.m. ACDT (1:30 p.m. AEDT) on Friday.

Jodie angrily accepted before saying she was “disappointed”.

To the shock of listeners, Khiara then asked if her mother would travel with her to Melbourne to look after her one-year-old.
