And Just Like That Season 2 Episode 4 Synopsis Vivante

“And Just Like That…” Season 2, Episode 4 Synopsis: Vivante

In and of itself it all makes sense. Miranda is in a whole new place with her sexuality. She’s outspoken in a way she’s never been before, and it’s obvious that when faced with this new sexual experience, she thinks just because she’s never done it before doesn’t mean that she shouldn’t do it.

What I find harder, however, is that when Miranda decides to leave the bedroom, she gives Che her blessing to move on with Lyle. When Che gets on the couch, Miranda insists she meant it when she said she didn’t mind.

Really? Just hours earlier, Miranda was upset that Lyle was even still at Che’s apartment. How was it that she went so quickly from an unease at his mere presence to a total composure about sharing Che with him? Is Miranda really that calm, or does she think she has to be so calm if she wants to keep Che?

In either case, this can easily be dismissed as “atypical” behavior on Miranda’s part. But remember, Miranda is here, at least in my opinion, a fool for love for the first time. It will be interesting to see this season how much of herself she is willing to change for Che.

A similar question could be asked about Lisa. Unlike Charlotte and Harry, she and Herbert couldn’t be more excited while their kids head to camp to immerse themselves in the ecstasy of non-stop work. However, they take some time off to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary with a big, fancy dinner. At least it would have been if Herbert had clicked send on the invites and Lisa had remembered to order the cake.

Lisa’s mother-in-law, Eunice (Pat Bowie), who we know is inclined to outdated ideals, only shames Lisa and not her son when it’s clear the party is falling apart. Cakes should be baked by the women of the house and not bought, she says and is happy. Lisa’s father (Billy Dee Williams), on the other hand, attacks Herbert and portrays him as only profit-oriented.
