Anderson Lee pleads guilty to Colorado Springs shooting

Anderson Lee Aldrich has pleaded guilty to the 2022 shooting at an LGTBI nightclub in Colorado Springs.

His statement and the sentence to life imprisonment saves victims’ and survivors’ families a lengthy and potentially painful process.

Last November, five people died and 19 were injured when the shooter entered Club Q and indiscriminately fired an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle.

On the night of the attack, Aldrich first entered the club at around 10:15 a.m. local time before making his way to the club’s garage. Around midnight, armed with a semi-automatic rifle and a bulletproof vest, he returned to the club and began shooting.

Aldrich will comply five consecutive life sentences for five counts of first-degree murder.

Aldrich, 22 years old and who defines itself as non-binary and identifies itself as Mx Aldrichalso pleaded guilty to 46 counts of attempted murder in the first degree, each carrying a 48-year prison sentence to be served consecutively.
