Andie MacDowell, 65, looks radiant as she walks her dog in LA… after opening up about her decision to go gray

Andie MacDowell has been an icon for decades. She began her career as a model before becoming a leading actress in films.

The longtime L’Oréal spokesman has appeared in classic films including “Sex, Lies and Videotape,” “Four Weddings and a Funeral,” “St. Elmo’s Fire” and many more.

She was spotted walking her cute dog in Los Angeles on Friday wearing a black sweater and black sweatpants.

The 65-year-old Maid actress wore a mint green scarf around her neck and a gray coat around her waist.

Andie tucked her famous salt and pepper gray hair into a denim hat.

The night before, the Groundhog actress looked stunning while attending the 18th annual L’Oréal Paris Women of Worth celebration.

Andie has been a spokesperson for the cosmetics company since 1986. The event took place at the trendy NeueHouse Hollywood.

At Thursday’s event, the Hudson Hawk actress discussed her long history with L’Oréal.

‘When I started [working with L’Oréal Paris], I was young. When I signed with them, I found out I was pregnant and was afraid I would lose the contract. But it had no negative impact,” she told People.

“I did commercials when I was eight months pregnant, and I did commercials literally right after I had a baby. “So I grew up with L’Oréal Paris, and that was a big part of my life.”

And she’s grateful that L’Oréal stood behind her choice of gray.

“I think it’s an individual decision.” “My two oldest sisters will dye their hair forever,” she said.

“So I think everyone has to make their own individual decision about how they deal with aging, what they want to do as they get older, and what makes them more comfortable.”

During an interview with Vogue in 2021, she explained the decision.

“I’ve never felt stronger.” I feel more honest. “I feel like I don’t pretend,” she explained.

“I feel like I’m embracing myself right where I am.” I feel really comfortable. And in many ways I find it’s more noticeable on my face. I just feel like it suits me.”

She decided to embrace the gray during the COVID-19 quarantine when hair salons were closed.

“Every time my kids saw me, they kept telling me that I looked badass with my gray hair. “When I pulled it together into a bun all you could see was salt and pepper, which is what I’m like, you know, dark and silver,” she shared.

“I like to compare myself to George Clooney because why not?” “I’ve been saying for a while that it’s time for me personally to make that transition because I feel like it fits my personality and is appropriate to who I am.”
