On the brink of a MacBook Air 15, the announcement of which at WWDC seems increasingly clear, Apple would use its June 5 event to unveil more Macs, including a hardware update for Mac Studio.

What if Apple prepared a new version of Mac Studio for us? The question was asked by Apple Insiders when, starting June 5 (date of WWDC 2023), the current Mac Studio would participate in the “Apple Trade In” recovery offer. At least that’s what Mark Gurman reports on Twitter, who sees it as a reference to the announcement of new Macs during the keynote that Apple will hold next week.
“Take this as you wish, but I’m expecting new Macs at WWDC,” commented the Bloomberg journalist, who is often well-informed when it comes to the Apple brand. And in that case, Mac Studio’s entry into the Apple trade-in offer, again according to the prospect, would come alongside two other models: the MacBook Air M2 and MacBook Pro 13 M2 that launched last year .
WWDC 2023: Expect Hardware Announcements…
If WWDC is traditionally a conference that traditionally focuses on new software expected in particular for iOS, watchOS and macOS, Apple has got used to showcasing new hardware there. For example, last year the company used the event to unveil its MacBook Air M2 and MacBook Pro 13 M2, both of which were launched in the weeks following the event.

This year, several rumors suggest the company would be putting the cover back on with new Macs. For example, the track of a brand new 15-inch MacBook Air (a first for Apple) has caused a lot of excitement in recent months, but the announcement of more models is to be expected as well.
In addition to the arrival of a “refreshed” version of the Mac Studio, which Mark Gurman seems to believe, certain rumors in the hallways point in particular to the announcement of a new 13-inch MacBook Pro or a new 24-inch MacBook Pro iMac. Some also still believe in the presentation of a new Mac Pro under Apple’s M2 Extreme processor (long awaited).
Finally, other rumors go back to the presentation of mixed reality glasses from Apple, which is scheduled to take place during WWDC 2023. So many tracks to commit to quickly, the inaugural conference of this 2023 edition starts on June 5th at 7pm (French time).
