Apple still knows how to make fun ads! – Mac4Ever

Apple kicks off the year with two new ads that should make you smile this morning, taking the opportunity to promote the iPhone 14 and iOS 16.

RIP Leon or the benefit of canceling messages via iOS 16

The first video, a little under forty seconds, is aptly titled Alive by Hanni El Khatib and is called RIP Leon. This video shows a man who has agreed to take care of an acquaintance’s mischievous pet and takes the opportunity to discover iOS 16’s new and life-saving feature that lets you undo a message. As a reminder, iOS allows you to cancel sending a message in the seconds after sending it with a long press (a menu then offers to cancel sending, but also to change the message). Please note that your interlocutor must also have iOS 16 for this to work.

Action mode of the iPhone 14 presented in the video

of equal duration, the second video highlights the action mode of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro, all underlined once more by a well chosen title Get Out My Way by Tedashii. The action mode of the new iPhones thus allows you to capture an eventful moment while benefiting from powerful stabilization, like GoPro-type action cameras. Obviously, the dedicated devices retain an advantage (the iPhone 14 crops the video with a shot in 2.8K), but you’ll have the smartphone in your pocket much more often (and maybe the vengeful mom air). As a reminder, Didier had wet the jersey to test this new mode in real conditions. Below is our video.
