Assange’s Press Freedom Ordeal

MEXICO CITY, March 28 (Prensa Latina) Video from El País reveals the ordeal Julian Assange has endured for press freedom for a decade since Washington prosecuted him for exposing State Department documents.

These texts show the atrocities of their investigative agencies, their judiciary and their federal officials, in which the ex-president of the extreme right, Donald Trump, stands out.

Colleague Carlos Martínez reports on those four days that touched freedom in 2017 Julian Assange, who was living as a refugee in the Ecuadorian embassy in London.

His lawyer, Baltasar Garzón, had negotiated his departure with the Ecuadorian government, but everything was monitored day and night, mainly by staff from the embassy’s security firm, Spain’s UC Global and US agents.

This is the story of how the US CIA thwarted the release of the WikiLeaks founder. Everything is included in the video that has gone around the world.

In it, Martínez reiterates that neither Julian Assange nor US intelligence will do the same after The Guardian released WikiLeaks-Kabel, 400,000 classified reports on the war in Afghanistan, an account of the torture the United States allowed in the war in Iraq and Guantanamo, and of course why the CIA and the US military are the targets of investigations by the WikiLeaks website that are shaking international politics.

On December 16, 2017, the defense team led by Baltasar Garzón laid out Julian Assange’s exit strategy in a meeting with Ecuadorian Consul Fidel Narváez, who was in charge of the embassy during the ambassador’s vacation.

It basically consisted in giving him Ecuadorian citizenship, following this commitment to a letter that was always there: making him a diplomat so that he could enjoy immunities at the time.

Martínez points out that he was responsible for officially communicating this decision to the British under the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations: When a diplomatic agent is appointed in a third country, that is between the state in which he is located and the alleged Diplomats, the countries they are passing through, must recognize their inviolability and immunity.

As a result, he was not allowed to be arrested, subjected to a trial and left the country. However, besides the lawyers and embassy staff, someone else was at these meetings and it is now revealed:

The Spanish company in charge of color security and the massive espionage that was being carried out especially these days were discovered.

Thanks to the videos, audios and reports that the “country” unveiled, a former employee of the Spanish company spoke to the newspaper for the first time, according to his own statements, about the preparation and the order for the surveillance cameras to be exchanged in the embassy for others with voice recording.

In addition to the visitors, the security company insisted on documenting as many details as possible. Martínez went to Jerez de la Frontera where the server for this central computer is located and confirms that he has access to three sources in Ecuador.

The lawyers return to Madrid at dawn that same night and some masked people come to Baltasar Garzón’s office and are attacked.

In the courts of Plaza de Castilla, we are waiting for an explanation as to why the espionage reached the Madrid law firm, he says.

The story is accurately described and verified in the video, as is the revealing document.

We conclude this comment with the dramatic message from his attorney and Assange’s sentimental partner, Stella Morris:

“I’m very worried because he’s in a maximum security prison which is the only one in the world, he lives with highly dangerous subjects, isolation is what really affects him and also the fact of what, it’s not known when will it ends. that really. If extradited to the United States, he faces an unfair trial.”

This is not justice, it is an annoying insult to freedom of the press and speech and a direct attack on human dignity. It is the ordeal for press freedom that Julian Assange faces.
