At BBB 23, Aline remembers the end of the band Rouge: “We were in limbo” Splash

At BBB 23 (Globo) Aline Wirley had lunch with Fred Desimpedidos and reminisced about the end of the band Rouge. The singer said it was difficult to know what to do after such success and needed to reinvent herself.

fred: “AND [como fica] the head? Because since I started at Desimpedidos, it has only increased. Then I keep thinking: “And when do I stop?”. And you started from a much higher peak than I’ve ever reached, and then you entered another time. How was it?”.

A line: “Funny. You are completely unrelated. We came out of a very big climax and when it was over, what do you have? What is your job? where do you fit in I was no longer Aline do Rouge because Rouge was over. But I also couldn’t go back to the life I had when I was working in a shop. It was’nt easy.

fred: “It wasn’t easy for any of you, was it?”

A line: “For none of us. But you know that ‘I gotta move on’ thing? If I don’t do it for myself, no one will. And also the essence of who you are. Really cool to be famous, but it’s a consequence of success. And I’m successful at so many other things. So I looked for strength for the five of us. And everyone went their own way. You have to have a lot of faith in who you are and what you want to do”.

A line: “At that time [a banda] it was over, it was just uncertainty. Because we were a group. So are we just working as a group? Is it only worth it if we have it together? How does this work? Many doubts, personal, artistic, financial… We were left in limbo”.

fred: “But did you know when it would end?”.

Aline said the group knew but wasn’t clear what steps to take, largely because they’d found fame together.

A line: “We were really seen as a combo. To this day I feel like ‘Aline do Rouge’, not that that’s a problem for me. I’m very proud of my history. But being able to walk a path alone is sweaty”.
