At least nine people were reportedly injured after a car plowed into New Year's Eve revelers near Madison Square Garden in New York City.

After the horror accident on West 34th Street and 9th Avenue, a mass accident with fatalities is said to have occurred. Three NYPD officers were among the injured.

Police were called to the scene at around 1:40 a.m. local time as crowds had made their way near Times Square after watching the ball drop to the year 2024.

The vehicle reportedly mounted the sidewalk and ran over civilians and police officers before coming to a stop.

Images from the scene appear to show three cars involved in the accident, two black cars and a yellow taxi. While a video showed a man being carried away on a stretcher, he appeared to be conscious.
