Luciano introduced the subject by recalling his own relationship with the former director of Globo: “It was very intense for me to watch because I also had an intense relationship with Marlene. I worked with her for four years. That was important when I arrived at Globo in 2000.”

“The two people who really welcomed me were Xuxa and Marlene, who were together at the time. So I’m grateful to Marlene, but I understand everything you said in the interview because in reality it was an abusive relationship.”
Bial then commented: “Marlene was very protective of Xuxa. It was a shield, it stood forward to shield it, it built a fortress around Xuxa. This fortress has become a prison over time.”
“I think Xuxa had the awesomeness to see Marlene again and Marlene had the awesomeness to go there. “They both believed in some things and were disappointed in others, but I think they both have the dimension and the vision of the magnificence of what they have created,” continued the director of Xuxa, the Documentary.
Huck then asked Xuxa what she thought of seeing Marlene Mattos again: “It was disappointing.”
Explaining how her relationship with the director had evolved in the past, the presenter recalled: “Look, let me tell you something… She didn’t change overnight, after all. She was a very sweet, loving, helpful person, she kept talking and realizing that she was holding my life more and more in her hands, which gave her strength. For them, having power is addictive.”
“I also want to make one thing clear: people change. I’ve changed a lot since the beginning. Only I have seen one person who has not changed. I just wish when I was sitting there she would say, “Dude, I’m sorry.” She even said to Pedro, “I’m not going there to apologize.” But I wanted her to “speak” somehow, maybe with her eyes. I have changed. We must apologize if we make a mistake!” he concluded.
Globoplay wasn’t the first choice for Xuxa, the documentary
During the conversation, Xuxa and Bial also revealed the beginnings of the idea of releasing a documentary. “Xuxa already had a project, not exactly in progress, but almost in progress. It was with a different platform. I said, “Come here, your whole story is on Globo.” You can’t do a biography of Xuxa without Globo’s spectacular collection. Here’s your story’”.
Xuxa then replied to Bial, “But he said, ‘I’d like to take it to Globoplay.'” I said, “Okay.” They’ll speak there because I’ve already prepared a letter of intent.
