Unlike the other defendants who were convicted at the same time as him in May, Enrique Tarrio, against whom prosecutors were seeking 33 years in prison, was not in Washington that fateful day. But Judge Timothy Kelly noted that “Mr. Tarrio was the ultimate leader of the conspiracy to prevent the certification of Democrat Joe Biden’s victory over incumbent Republican President Donald Trump.
