The Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu International Hot Air Balloon Festival marks a good milestone by announcing its first international headliner, Canadian singer Avril Lavigne, on August 17th.
“Welcoming Avril Lavigne to our festival is a great moment for us. His highly anticipated presence will add a lively rock touch to our event. We strive to offer dynamic and varied programs and the arrival of Avril Lavigne is the perfect example of this. His infectious energy and immense musical talent will provide our festival-goers with an exceptional and unforgettable evening,” said Julie Brault, general director of the International de Montgolfières de Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, in a press release.
The 39-year-old Canadian rocker is behind the international hits Complicated, Sk8er Boi, Girlfriend and My Happy Ending.
The 41st edition of the International Balloon Festival will take place from August 9th to 11th and 15th to 18th, 2024.
Tickets go on sale this morning at 9am.
