Some local residents discovered Bill’s body on January 2, 2020. The autopsy then triggered the murder investigation. Tests revealed that the boy had been beaten even though he was already unconscious and had suffered multiple injuries, including cerebral hemorrhage, 11 fractured ribs, extensive cuts and bruises to the scalp, face and neck.

Investigators from the Sussex and Surrey Major Crime Team searched the building, seizing hundreds of artifacts and spending hours watching security cameras. Thus, it was possible to identify the witnesses and who attended the New Year’s party. According to the reconstructions, Bill, a student at Ravensbourne University in London, had spent Christmas with his family in Henfield but wished to celebrate the New Year in Brighton, where he was joined by his father on the evening of December 31st. Pictures around the area then showed Bill exiting a waterfront nightclub.

Tragedy at the wedding, sister of the bride hit by two cars and killed in front of the restaurant: she was 23 years old

Last sighting at 4:30am outside a supermarket near the building where he was found dead. Bill was reportedly killed shortly after arriving at the party in what investigators described as a “protracted and significant assault.” The killers then washed the young victim’s body and attempted to clean up the bloodstains in several places in the building. A sign that the 24-year-old had been hit several times and dragged onto the balcony.

As The Sun revealed, police were therefore able to trace 4 men and a minor, all arrested on the basis of witness statements. One of the adults, Hawley, reportedly joked about the attack and also confessed that he stripped Bill’s body and doused it in bleach before throwing him off the balcony. Meikle, on the other hand, had two photos (later deleted) of Bill’s body on his cell phone. The suspects were later released to allow investigators to find more damning evidence. And so it was. After 16 months of investigations, three of the four men and the youngest, now 18, have been charged in the brutal murder of Bill Henham last summer. It is not yet clear why the young student was massacred.
