On Sunday, the top team in the National Hockey League (NHL) won 7-0. The Sabers conceded a third straight loss and a seventh loss in their last eight games. They are six points behind the Pittsburgh Penguins, bottom of the Eastern Conference Spring Dance. The two clubs have now played the same number of games.

Returning to the Bruins clash, fans present at the KeyBank Center watched as the visitors registered the mark from the 15th second of the game Patrice Bergeron used a generous return to thwart goaltender Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen. It was the Quebecer’s 26th time this season on target.

Garnet Hathaway and Jake DeBrusk also got the puck behind the red line in the first period. Hampus Lindholm, David Pastrnak, Charlie Coyle and Charlie McAvoy took the other Bruins hits.

Bergeron ended the duel with three points after providing two assists. However, it was DeBrusk who was the most prolific player in the Boston camp. The 26-year-old forward was instrumental in three goals scored by his team-mates.

In front of the winning cage, Jeremy Swayman stopped 27 shots and signed his fourth shutout of the season. It was the ninth time he had a shutout in the NHL.
