One recruited minors through deception over the internet; another provided them with technical support and infrastructure to record pornographic content, and a third was responsible for distributing the material in pornographic chat rooms and to clients. This is how the functions of the three men arrested by the National Police of Seville and accused of crimes against the sexual freedom of minors were distributed.
The presence of two adults of very different ages accompanied by a minor in a hotel in the Andalusian capital aroused the suspicions of the police. According to investigation sources, both were allegedly there to have a sexual encounter with the child, recording it and then distributing it to clients and chat rooms specializing in homosexual child pornography.
One of them was responsible for contacting minors through fake profiles on social networks. Once he gained their trust, he sent them pornographic material to make them believe it was “normal” and asked them to send him photos and videos with sexual content. Once he captured them, he went even further and offered them money for a sexual encounter with him, an amount that increased if the victim sent him more pornographic images. When he was away for professional reasons, he stayed with the minors.
Another member of the conspiracy was responsible for providing them with an address, technical and logistical material for the recordings, for a commission, and offered a wide portfolio of consumer clients with homosexual child pornography. He was responsible for distributing the profits among the members of the group.
The third party, with a criminal record for this type of behavior and “semi-professional in the world of child pornography,” according to police, sent the links containing the sexual content to an online chat known to consumers of this type of material. The links also forwarded the clients to the videos in which the victims appeared and their own pornographic productions.
The searches carried out as part of the ongoing so-called Operation Novo have enabled investigators to seize a large quantity of pornographic material with explicit sexual content originating from minors. Two of the three detainees are in prison.
