According to Wilfried Nancy, Laurent Courtois, who was named head coach of CF Montreal on Monday, has what it takes to do a good job at the helm of the team.
The Montreal club's former bench boss only had good words for the Lyonnais at a press conference. The two know each other well as Courtois until recently coached the Columbus Crew farm club in the MLS Next Pro.

“I’m really happy for him, he deserves it,” said the current crew driver at a press conference on Thursday. Firstly, he is a very good guy. And of course he also has very good qualities as a coach. And he is humble. “It’s a good choice for Montreal because he has the profile for what he wants to do there.”
However, Nancy issued a warning: he will do everything to ensure that the new Bleu-Blanc-Noir head coach does not take any players away from him.
“So I’m really happy for him because I knew he wanted to take advantage of this opportunity,” he continued. And like I told him, now he has to buckle up, put on the seatbelt, move forward and enjoy it. I won’t give him any players.”
The two men will meet for the first time on April 27 when Montreal visits Lower.com Field in Columbus.
