Chad Michael Murray became a father to three last week when his wife Sarah Roemer gave birth to a baby girl.

Sarah, to whom Chad has been married since 2015, enthusiastically shared the news on her Instagram page this weekend.

Her announcement was accompanied by a heartbreaking photo showing her bouncing newborn’s heart-shaped birthmark.

“Our little girl was born with a heart on her ankle last week. We are so in love!’ she gushed. “I soak up all the baby squishy moments that go by way too fast.”

Meanwhile, Chad, 41, posted the same photo on his own Insta Stories with the short and sweet message: “Heart #Family.”

Chad and Sarah first met while starring in the thriller series Chosen, which began on streamer Crackle in 2013.

In September 2014, they secretly tied the knot and waited until the following January to simultaneously announce the wedding and Sarah’s pregnancy with their first child.

The couple had a son in 2015 and a daughter in 2017, and are so strict about their children’s privacy that they won’t reveal their names.

Just last month, Sarah and Chad went public with their latest pregnancy, and shortly after, he subtly let on that they were expecting a baby girl.

“We travel this world as a little pack of wolves – this baby has been everywhere and it’s not even out yet,” he wrote in an Instagram caption, letting readers learn the feminine pronoun for themselves.

Prior to his relationship with Sarah, Chad was briefly married to Sophia Bush, with whom he rose to fame on the teenage drama series One Tree Hill.

Sophia and Chad wed in April 2005, but separated in September and finally finalized their divorce the following year.

A few years ago, when he had just had a child, Chad touchingly reflected on how fatherhood had changed his attitude.

“Having a family just changes the way you look at everything.” “I mean, it changes the world,” he said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. “For me it was the greatest thing that has ever happened to me.”

He added, “Having kids changes the game and I think you always go around with the mentality that you want to make sure they’re proud and you want to represent them well and just be a great leader.”

Chad noted that his decisions about acting careers were influenced by the fact that his child was eventually able to watch him work.

“Just last week I had a project coming up and based on the content alone it wasn’t something I wanted.” [want] “I want my son to see when he grows up,” he said. “It’s not the kind of material and I didn’t feel the payoff was worth it.”
