Green hydrogen (H2V), also known as renewable, is produced without generating polluting emissions and is already recognized as a key fuel for decarbonizing the planet.

The Honorary President of this edition is the Chilean Minister of Energy, Diego Pardow, who considered the event very important to publicize the country’s potential in the development of this industry.

“Spaces like this help us strengthen the ecosystem we need to build around green hydrogen and its derivatives,” Pardow said.

ProChile, the Department of State’s body that promotes the country’s global supply of goods and services, provided a booth featuring the Ministries of Energy, Transport and Telecommunications. and InvestChile, the public agency responsible for promoting foreign investment.

According to the organizers, the fair covers a broad value chain in the areas of production, distribution, storage, services and all solutions for the zero-carbon energy market.

In December 2020, Chile launched its National Green Hydrogen Strategy with the aim of developing this industry and making the country one of the leading producers and exporters in the world by 2040.

Produced by electrolysis of renewable energy, H2V can be stored and used for petrochemical and chemical industries, fossil fuel refining, ammonia production and transportation.
