After a recent health problem, Christian Bégin will have to undergo emergency surgery, his KO Scene team announced. Because he will have a recovery period of unknown length, all shows on his tour The 8 Deadly Sinsplanned until the beginning of June, have been postponed.
“It is with regret that Christian Bégin has to cancel his commitments for the next few weeks. After a recent health problem, he must undergo emergency surgery, which initially requires a convalescence period of indefinite duration. We deeply regret this situation, which is beyond his control. Thank you for your understanding,” wrote the KO scene team.
Due to this situation, all shows scheduled for the next two months have been postponed. The website (christianbegin.ca) will be gradually updated with the displacement dates for the different rooms.
In total, more than 15 appointments have to be postponed. Christian Bégin had planned shows in Amqui (tonight), Rimouski (tomorrow) and Rivière-du-Loup (Saturday). He also had to pass the Lac-St-Jean and the Côte-Nord. The postponements go until June 3 with a show scheduled at the Théâtre du Vieux-Terrebonne.
At the moment, the dates from June 21 (Salle Albert-Rousseau de Québec) remain on the calendar.
“Christian is in good hands and I know that after the necessary recovery time he will be happy to return to the stage and his audience,” said his spokeswoman Karine Cousineau.
More details to come.
