Country star Chris Young was arrested at a Nashville bar after he confronted a liquor enforcement officer and “punched” an officer, according to police.
Chris Young, 38, was at Tin Roof – a bar on Demonbreun Street in Midtown Nashville on Monday evening.
At about 8:30 p.m., Alcoholic Beverage Commission agents were conducting a compliance check at Tin Roof when they met the singer at the bar, the affidavit states.
After checking his ID, Young – known for a string of No. 1 hits and winning the reality show “Nashville Star” – allegedly followed the agents and asked them questions before recording them on his camera .
As officers went to the nearest bar, the Dawg House, to continue their ID checks, Young followed them with his group of people when the alleged confrontation occurred.

The star then attempted to stop the agents from leaving by reaching out his hand and allegedly “hitting” one of the officers, according to the affidavit.
“As Mr. Young walked out the door, he put his hands out to stop me from leaving the bar and punched me on the shoulder,” the affidavit states.
“I then urged Mr. Young to create distance because I had no idea who Mr. Young was or what he had.”
Young reportedly began walking backwards and refused to obey officers – resulting in him being handcuffed.
The affidavit alleges the country singer slurred his words while his eyes were bloodshot and watery.
After Young's disorderly behavior in the bar, the atmosphere became “hostile,” the report said.
Young was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, assault on an officer and resisting arrest.
He has since been released from custody.
