The Antillean team won 905 points for fourth place in the event, in a tournament that awarded 1,150 points for winner, 953 for runner-up, 905 for third and fourth places, and at least 242 for participation.
Japan tops the rankings with 5,323 lines, followed by the United States (4,402) and Mexico (4,130), with the latter moving up two places, Chinese Taipei (4,061) and South Korea (4,049) rounding out the top five.
A Latin American nation, Venezuela, held sixth with 3,534 points, Cuba rose from eighth to seventh (3,151) and Australia to ninth (2,600).
The Netherlands (3,089 units) lost a position and took eighth place, while the Dominican Republic (2,415) anchored in 10th place.
For its part, Italy (2,017) moved up four places in the rankings to 12th. Of the other Classic participants, China moved up seven places to 23rd, with Israel (18) and Great Britain (20) also gaining two places.
The baseball world rankings include all results from the last four years in WBSC-sanctioned tournaments, from the U-12 World Championship to the so-called Premier 12 and the Classic.
The top 12 countries at the end of 2023 will qualify for the next edition of the WBSC Premier 12.
