Dakota Johnson shows off a Gucci Jackie 1961 bag for the fashion house’s latest campaign

Dakota Johnson showed how glamorous she can be in everyday life in her new advertising campaign for Gucci’s signature bag.

The 33-year-old actress, whose so-called ‘Nepo baby’ status has recently been in the news, starred in a new commercial for the brand, in which she was seen running mundane errands while sometimes carrying Gucci’s Jackie 1961 bag .

The brand’s flagship bag, which has a recognizable crescent shape and “piston hardware,” was shown off in multiple iterations while Dakota hit the gym or picked some flowers around town.

The video featured a stylish, grainy look reminiscent of celluloid, and multiple shots caught the 50 Shades Of Gray star from afar as if caught by paparazzi.

She wore an elegant black sleeveless dress covered in a playful ice cream cone design while holding her green bag in front of her as she pulled down her ruffled top that had been blowing in the breeze.

A mix of more staged and faux-candid shots showed how she appeared to exit a training session in a Gucci-print crop top and matching leggings, while staying on topic with a statement blue Jackie 1961 crocodile-skin bag from the fashion house.

She preferred a more modest black variant of the bag as she picked up a bouquet of flowers.

Dakota was back again with an eye-catching brown bag as she descended an escalator after a business meeting.

The ad ended with footage of Dakota, accompanied by an anonymous-looking man, as she got into her SUV and drove away.

The clip was again designed to mimic the look of a paparazzi by showing her hiding her face with her hand before driving away.

Shot by British photographer Glen Luchford, the ad campaign is also inspired by the bag’s namesake, former first lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, who was a fan of the bag in the 1970s and was often spotted wearing it by paparazzi.

“The Jackie is the perfect bag,” Dakota gushed to British Vogue. “It’s a great size and so chic.”

Although the actress wore her instantly identifiable brunette locks in the ad campaign, she was seen mostly with platinum blonde hair last month while filming a scene for her upcoming movie Daddio with her costar Sean Penn.
