Buffalo Bills wonder Damar Hamlin is reportedly the player pick for the cover of former gamer and analyst Robert Griffin III’s Madden 24 video game.
The 33-year-old made a plea for the footballer, who suffered cardiac arrest mid-game in January, in a series of posts on his Twitter account on Monday.

“[Cela] “I would celebrate a moment that once brought us all together, no matter what team you’re cheering for,” he wrote.
“[Cela] would celebrate Denny Kellington [l’entraîneur des Bills qui a procuré les premiers soins à Hamlin] and the staff who saved his life by detailing the actions they took to save him and get him back on the field. It’s important for young people to know all of this, and Madden captures their attention.
EA Sports should make Damar Hamlin the cover athlete of Madden 24.

On January 2, during a game against the Bengals in Cincinnati, Hamlin suffered cardiac arrest after touching wide receiver Tee Higgins. CPR was performed on the field and the Bills player was then transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. After being hospitalized there for several days, he was transferred to a hospital in Buffalo and later discharged.
In April, the 25-year-old was given the green light by doctors to return to football.
Hamlin played his second NFL season in 2022. Drafted in the sixth round of the 2021 amateur auction, he had 91 tackles, 1.5 quarterback sacks and a forced fumble in 15 games last season.
Electronic Arts, the company that produces Madden annually, has announced that next Wednesday it will reveal the identity of the player who will have the honor of appearing on the video game’s cover. The Opus 2024 should be available to amateurs in August.
