Last month, the Celebrity CBB star revealed she had been taken to hospital with heavy bleeding, which she feared was a miscarriage but turned into a cancer scare.

The mother-of-five said doctors discovered a cyst on her ovaries – one the size of a tennis ball – which made her fear she might not have a sixth child.

Speaking to New Magazine, Danielle – who is married to electrician Michael O’Neill – revealed she may need to have a hysterectomy.

She said, “When you wear the word cancer, you’re like, ‘Oh my God, I’m going to die.’ “I just can’t stop crying and I said to Michael, ‘I don’t want to leave my kids.'”

Danielle, who tragically suffered a miscarriage in 2019, spoke about the “terrible” wait for results, saying, “I’ll drive down the road and then burst into tears.” “I feel like an emotional wreck and it’s exhausting.”

Danielle is mother to Autumn, eight months old, and Ronnie, four, with Michael, and has Archie, 11, Harry, 10, and George, eight, from her previous marriage to Jamie O’Hara.

The star suffers from endometriosis and has been open about her fertility and health struggles in the past. In 2020, she announced she had undergone endometriosis surgery after being diagnosed with the painful condition earlier in the year.

The former glamor model shared a candid selfie in a hospital gown and revealed she’s “nervous but happy” about having surgery.

Danielle revealed she had put her plans on using a controversial gender selection treatment on hold after she was diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and endometriosis.

She previously revealed that she was dying to have a daughter and wouldn’t stop trying until she had a baby girl before the arrival of fall.

At the time, she told Loose Women she had to put off her hopes of having a daughter in order to undergo surgery to treat her ailments, which can affect a woman’s fertility.

She said: “I just found out I have PCOS and endometriosis so I need to have surgery so I can’t think about having another baby right now anyway.”

“I’m not sure, I just got a puppy that’s still a little girl so she’s my baby for now.” “I would love a little girl but four boys is a lot.”

Endometriosis is an often painful condition in which tissue similar to the lining of the uterus – the endometrium – grows outside the uterus, while PCOS is a common condition that affects the functioning of a woman’s ovaries.

Danielle previously revealed that her sons would also like to have a little sister and said she had been to Dubai’s sex selection clinic, the Fakih IVF centre.

The practice has been condemned by the World Health Organization (WHO) and is illegal in the UK.

WHO says gender choice raises “serious moral, legal and social issues” and can lead to the devaluation of women and gender imbalance.

Having learned that the treatment is correct in 99% of the cases where a baby is born successfully, Danielle also began investigating the possibility of giving birth to a girl in North Cyprus, another state where it is legal to care.

However, after further questioning, TV star and electrician Michael had previously settled on America, where they felt safety measures were stronger overall.

There, a number of her eggs would be removed and fertilized, and then one or two of the resulting female embryos would be implanted back into the mother’s uterus. The rest is saved for possible future use.
