“We've been hearing you sing like that for 21 years, but what I find amazing is how many people have heard that incredible voice from that piranha and never thought it was that guy from McFly.”
“And I think it just shows how underrated Danny has been over the last 20 years.” He had to be on stage with a piranha mask on to make people take a step back and realize that Danny Jones is from McFly has one of the greatest voices of all time.
“God, up there with the very best.” “How lucky we are to have the voice of Danny Jones in our band.”

He admitted it had been difficult to keep his participation and victory a secret, saying: “Very difficult and even more difficult now that I've won.”
“It was really difficult because I get excited about things very quickly and I'm really into it when I'm doing something.” I'm supposed to be on tour. It was very difficult, but that's part of the fun, isn't it?'
Following his revelation, guest panelist Rob Brydon joked that Danny should ditch the other members of McFly and go alone.
Referring to Danny's bandmates Tom Fletcher, Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd, Rob quipped: “If we've learned anything, it's time to ditch these losers and go it alone. 'These guys have been holding you back!'
When talking about what his bandmates would think of his performance, Danny said: “I think the guys will be very surprised.” I'm my own worst enemy, so I always think: “That wasn't very good”, so they always build me up. “You’ll guess me right away.”
