David Beckham’s alleged mistress Rebecca Loos hits back at the former soccer star’s comments in “Beckham,” a four-part documentary.
The Netflix docuseries chronicles the 26-year romance between David and Victoria Beckham. The final episode, “What Makes David Run,” looks at reports from 2004 about David’s affair following his move to Real Madrid, where he hired Loos as his personal assistant.
In an interview with DailyMail published on Saturday, Loos said that the way David addressed the alleged affair made it seem as if “I was the one who made Victoria suffer.”
“The worst thing for me is that he says he didn’t like seeing his wife suffering to talk about it,” she said of the documentary.
Loos, a Spanish-born Dutch model, continued: “He makes himself a victim and makes me look like a liar. He makes me look like I made up these horrible stories. It’s all ‘poor me.'” He has to take responsibility.
“Yes, the stories were terrible, but they were true,” she claimed. “It took me a long time to decide whether to talk about this today… if I stay silent, I will be seen as the liar, the one who made up the stories. And I also have a family and I also have children and so do they. You have Google and you can watch documentaries too. And I want them to know that their mother was brave enough to stand up to them and stand up for the truth.”

David didn’t directly name Loos in the documentary, but rather alluded to the period after his move to Spain as being “difficult” for Victoria.
“Victoria means everything to me,” he says. “Seeing her injured was incredibly difficult, but we are fighters and we had to fight for each other back then. We had to fight for our family, and what we had was worth fighting for. But ultimately it’s our private life.”

Addressing the change in their relationship, Victoria added: “It was the most difficult time for us because we felt like the world was against us. And if I’m being completely honest, we were against each other.”
The Spice Girls singer said we were “connected” until David’s transfer. We had each other. But when we were in Spain I didn’t really feel like we had each other either and that’s sad.”
“Beckham” director Fisher Stevens doesn’t directly ask David if he cheated, telling USA TODAY in an interview that he wasn’t interested. “What inspires me and what interests me is: ‘Was it (their relationship) almost over?’ “How did you get through that?” “What was important to you?” Stevens said.
