David Walliams looks unrecognizable as he dons a range of hilarious outfits including Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz at the Mediterranean Film Festival Awards.
He is known for cracking jokes and entertaining audiences.
And that’s exactly what David Walliams did when he brought his trademark humor to the Mediterranean Film Festival awards ceremony.
The witty man who hosted the awards ceremony didn’t shy away from dressing up and made sure all eyes were on him as he took the stage.
Looking unrecognizable in images from his hilarious sketches, the 51-year-old comedian dressed up as The Wizard of Oz’s Golden Bee and Dorothy to open the first year of the prestigious awards with a bang.
The comedian transformed into a bee and wore gold, brown and black tights, a gold glittery fur-trimmed cape and a gold crown.
Funnyman: David Walliams wore a series of silly costumes as he hosted the awards ceremony at the Mediterranean Film Festival on Friday night
Talented: One of the costumes emulated Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz, while another was a golden bee
The media personality took it a step further by wearing a pair of gold pointy gloves with brown fur and completing his look with a pair of black boots with gold laces.
He was seen dangling from the ceiling, presumably pretending to fly like the buzzing insect.
Dorothy served as inspiration for the actor’s next look as he wore a blue plaid slip dress with white trimmings, tied with a braided wig and a red lip for added glam.
The Little Britain star completed the look with a wicker basket, some dark blue long socks and the character’s famous red slippers.
It was a far cry from his red carpet appearance, where he wore a sleek black suit which he paired with a white shirt and bow tie.
The former Britain’s Got Talent judge completed his sleek look with black lace-up shoes.
David’s appearance comes after his ex-wife Lara Stone was spotted flaunting a blossoming baby bump alongside her husband, a real estate developer, David Grievson.
Lara is also the proud mother of 10-year-old Alfred, whom she shares with Walliams.
Overall: The entertainer made sure to fit the role by donning a pair of gold pointy gloves, tights, a fur cape and black boots with gold laces.
Dressed to impress: The fun costumes were a world away from when he hit the red carpet before, looking dapper in a tuxedo (pictured here with actor Eric Bana)
Apology: David’s appearance comes after he decided to leave Britain’s Got Talent after apologizing for derogatory comments about a contestant that had come to light
gorgeous! Actress Annabelle Wallis was also stunning in a statement silver metallic dress as she graced the red carpet
The couple started dating in 2009 and announced their engagement just four months later.
