Denilson comments on Belo’s debts after rumors of nonpayment of installments; regard!

Denilson de Oliveira confirmed on Friday (1st) that Belo has paid in court the agreement he reached with the former player. The dispute between the two had been going on since the late 1990s, when the former athlete bought the rights to the Soweto Group. Via Instagram, Denilson refuted the recent news that the singer still had debts to pay.

“This week it emerged that Belo owed me part of our agreement. I saw it on several gossip sites, but it was bad, Dad. Everything is fine between me and the singer. Belo doesn’t owe me anything. There was a pending installment, but that outstanding issue has already been resolved. “Everything is fine and life goes on,” he said.

“The only thing that can happen from now on is that the father plays tomtom on the Soweto tour. It’s the only stop that can happen. It will be? But everything has been sorted out between Belo and me, everything is fine. Life goes on. We are in this together,” he added.

In the caption of the video, the former player also reiterated the message: “Message. All is well, to the joy of some and the sadness of others (gossip). There hasn’t been an open problem between me and Belo for some time now. Only one more situation remained, which was also resolved. What could happen now is that I play this Tantan on the Soweto tour.” Watch the full video below:

The matter came to the surface again when Folha de S. Paulo announced at the end of November that the footballer’s lawyers claimed in court that the pagodeiro had not paid one of the installments of the agreement to pay off the debt of about R$ 7 million . In the document obtained by F5, Denilson’s defense reported that R$123,000 of the total amount was not deposited by Belo. The part relating to the payment of legal fees is part of the final amount agreed by the parties around three months ago, in August this year.

Amicable agreement

On August 11, Denilson announced to the public that the dispute with Belo had ended after a court battle that lasted more than 20 years. In social media posts, he explained that the settlement was amicable as the debt affected the relationship between them. “Singer Belo and I spoke and mutually reached an agreement. “It is extremely important to emphasize to everyone that our differences were never personal, but on the contrary, they were and therefore no longer are in the legal area,” explained Denilson.

“As men, adults and professionals, it was important to put an end to this mess that had divided us for more than 20 years. We are pleased to be able to conclude this matter today. Thanks to everyone involved. Now it’s time to look forward… IT’S OVER,” he concluded.

On his YouTube channel, Denilson delved deeper into the topic and explained the negotiations in detail. The footballer also commented on the “exhausting” argument. “Fortunately, after speaking to Belo for many years, we have spoken to all parties, including Belo, by telephone in the last few days. It’s worth mentioning that it was a very calm, friendly conversation. Belo was ready to resolve the situation to the best of his ability. Obviously I’ve given up on all possibilities of what could happen. “We came to an agreement and ended a story that had lasted almost 20 years,” he began.

Denilson recalled that many people made fun of the situation. “A joke to many, a meme to many, but for those who were there every day, they knew it was something that bothered me, it was stressful. Not just for me, but I think for Belo too,” he complained.

Finally, he ended his outburst by wishing Belo success. “May he continue to shine and bring his good music to people. I imagine that Belo’s fans must also be pleased by this news, just as people who admire my work must be pleased by this news. The fact is that we reached an amicable agreement and everything is fine. The lesson is to do the right thing,” he assured. And he concluded with a joke: “Now I can post my little videos of me enjoying Belo.” View in full:

The blame

In July, Leo Dias shared the information that Belo surprised Denilson by paying off the debt. The dispute between the two has been simmering for more than two decades. It all started in 1999 when Denílson bought the rights to the group “Soweto”. In 2000, Belo, who was a singer, left the band and the former player filed a lawsuit for damages.

Belo’s defense told the judiciary that the singer never recognized Denilson as the “owner of Soweto.” But in 2004 he was ordered to pay the presenter 385,000. In 2017, the singer filed a lawsuit against Denilson after a comment she made on social media. “He just needs to learn to pay his debts,” the athlete wrote. In return, Belo demanded R$500,000 in a lawsuit on the grounds that his image had been damaged. However, the court did not consider the Pagodeiro’s request and declared that the debt actually existed.

In June 2022, the court asked to freeze the singer’s amounts, pointing out that the updated amount owed to Denilson reached R$7 million. The charges came to light again after Denilson filed a request to block Belo’s winnings on Domingão com Huck’s Dança dos Famosos 2023. The court accepted the request and confiscated the singer’s award.
