Along with Politburo member and Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, the President told the diplomats that they can count on the full support of the government and the Foreign Ministry to carry out their work successfully.
He also thanked the diplomats for supporting their nations in Cuba’s struggle against the United States government’s economic, commercial and financial blockade against our people.
Upon receiving the credentials of His Excellency Theodore N. Tsakiris, Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic, the President of the Antilles underlined the historic respectful and friendly relations between the two countries, stressing that this year is a good one, seven decades after the formalization of diplomatic relations Time to expand the relationships further.

Díaz-Canel expressed the diplomat’s gratitude to Pakistan for his work in the presidency of the Group of 77 plus China, a position that Cuba will now occupy and in which it intends to continue the work done by that country.
Her Excellency Ms. Gabriele Méon-Tschürtz also presented her credentials as Ambassador of the Republic of Austria. Díaz-Canel described the political dialogue between the two countries as excellent and the will to strengthen diplomatic, economic, commercial and cooperative ties, he also highlighted Austria’s active position in the political dialogue between the European Union and Cuba.

Upon handing over his credentials as Ambassador of the Republic of The Gambia, His Excellency Sheikh Tijan Hydara, Ambassador of the Republic of The Gambia, conveyed to the President of Cuba a greeting from President Adama Barrow and interest in deepening cooperation in various areas, particularly in agriculture and the medical education.
