Dolly Parton has been a country music icon for more than 50 years and doesn’t plan to stop anytime soon.
“I would never retire,” Parton said during an interview with Ken Bruce on Britain’s Greatest Hits Radio last week, adding that she’ll “hopefully one day drop dead on stage in the middle of a song – hopefully one day.” ” have written.”

Since “Rockstar” was her foray into rock music, Parton said the idea of making a rock record was inspired by her induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2022 – an honor she’s notoriously, albeit politely , first tried to refuse.
