Don Omar files a millionaire lawsuit against businessman César Pina

The urban singer Don Omar filed a million-dollar lawsuit against a real estate entrepreneur for breach of contract, fraud and unjust enrichment.

The lawsuit filed in Miami by William Landrón, the artist’s first name, is directed against businessman César Humberto Pina, a New Yorker dedicated to real estate in the Big Apple and New Jersey. The lawsuit seeks the sum of $2 million. On appeal, Don Omar claims he invested this amount of money with the promise of receiving back a percentage of the profits from the sale of buildings in places such as Chicago, Miami, New York, California and New Jersey. In the business agreement between both parties, Don Omar is listed as one of the investors.

Don Omar states in the lawsuit that he has not seen a financial report or a report on the sales and profits of businessman Pina, whom he met through the recommendation of a radio talent in New York.

According to the program “El Gordo y la Flaca”, the defendant also involved other music industry personalities in the real estate business, such as: Nicky Jam, Romeo Santos and Snoop Doggamong others.

The legal representative of Don Omar, Mr. Carlos Frigerio, stated in the broadcast: ““El Gordo y la Flaca” from Univision that the contract between Pina and the reggaeton player was that the businessman would buy or rent buildings in Chicago and look for tenants, and that part of that profit went to Don Omar.

The Puerto Rican reggaeton player demands a full refund of the money invested.

On social networks, the voice of “Bandolers” claimed that it would take measures to ensure that the defendant served a prison sentence.

“This is the greatest shame that Dominican-Puerto Rican families can suffer. His name is César Piña and today he has marked our legacy as an entrepreneur in the world of real estate. I have invested millions of dollars in this industry and have never met anyone who could destroy elderly, disabled customers. Customers who have done work that this worm and his family would never have thought of today have nothing and I put myself in the firing line for them. Until I put you in prison for all the families you defrauded, I will not live in peace. WITHOUT REFUND THERE IS NO PEACE and I have enough to defend those from whom you stole #norefundsnopeace,” said the reggaeton player, who called the businessman by the last name Piña, although he is identified as Pina in the lawsuit.
